My only reason for giving them a 4-star rating over a 5 is that they were smaller than I expected. My fault as I should have grabbed a ruler to know just how big they would be. The next size up is better suited for a Thanksgiving, Christmas, special holiday gathering where you would need a larger dinner plate size. Chinet is the classiest very of the paper plate for a family gathering where you would rather spend your time with family members than the whole afternoon washing dishes. A wise investment! Happy Cook & Dish Washer, Happy Family!Good paper plates for the price. Not sturdy if you load it up, but as good as expected for this type of plate. One thing that seemed odd is that every 6th plate or so had weird brown smudges within the material of the plate. Not like a smudge was made after production, but something brown got into the mix during production. We didn't use those plates because our assumption is that there were bugs involved.Although these are the correct size that I wanted, I am returning them. They arrived unwrapped in a cardboard box as though they were taken from a much larger quantity. I am not comfortable using these.These are really high-quality, strong paper plates that stood up to being used in a catered event -- no mess was left behind, the plates "handled" meatballs with the sauce, and many other things exceedingly well, without leaking or tearing. I'm using the remaining ones at home, and every time I grab and use one of them, I can't help thinking just how sturdy and great these plates are. A perfect size, too -- not too large, not too small. I would recommend them both for personal use and bigger events, they work like a charm.I have enjoyed the sturdy white Chinet plates for years. These arrived in a generic plastic bag. It was not a Chinet bag and just looked like someone put some plates in a bag. It seemed very unsanitary. Do not buy Chinet plates this way. Next time, I’ll go to the market or buy from Target. $19.99 for 36 plates and they are not returnable. Who know where they came from.
